1. All students should complete 42 credits, pass proposal and final thesis defenses, and meet the English proficiency test requirement for graduation.

3.    Compulsory Fundamental Courses:

There are three compulsory fundamental courses, including (1) Fundamental Statistics in Business, (2) Fundamental Accounting in Business, and (3)Fundamental Economics in Business

A.     One can ask to waive any of the three courses if she/he has taken any of them in which the course has three credits in a single semester during her/his undergraduate study (or the course has six credits in two semesters in her/his five-year junior college study), and has passed the course. Students who would like to apply for credits waiving should acknowledge the Institute of International Business office with the original transcript of their undergraduate degree for verification.

B.     The credit waiving application should be submitted by December 31st in the first semester.

C.     Students can also take these courses through online learning system MOOCs.

D.     Students who take the online courses have to take an exam at the end of the semester.

 

4. Thesis Advisor

One must choose her/his thesis advisor from the full-time faculty in our institute before the end of the first semester.

 

5. Thesis Proposal and Final Defenses

(1)   Students are required to pass the proposal defense at least three months before applying for the final thesis defense.

(2)   The application for the proposal defense needs to be submitted at least one week before the proposal defense date. The application for the final defense needs to be submitted at least one month before the final defense date.

 

6. English Proficiency Requirement

(1)    Students must pass one of the English proficiency tests listed below:

A.    TOEIC – 700 or above.

B.    Pass the high-intermediate level first round test of GEPT.

C.    IELTS English Language Testing 5 or above.

(2)   The English test that has been taken within 5 years before enrollment may be accepted.
