Master Degree Thesis Proposal Regulation

 

 

  1. According to the “Institute of International Business Master's Program Regulation,” students are required to pass a Thesis Proposal before the final defense and only can pass the Thesis Final Defense at least two months after the Thesis Proposal approval.

 

  1. Students must first obtain the consent of their advisor and then submit the application form of the final oral defense to the IB office.

 

  1. Student’s Thesis Proposal must be reviewed by at least two review committee members and the advisor must be one of the review committee members.

 

  1. The "Master's Thesis Proposal Review Application Form", should be signed by your advisor and submitted to the IB office one week before the Thesis Proposal. Also, Students should book the room for the Thesis Proposal by themselves at IB ofiice.

 

  1. The proposal is divided into 10 minutes for the thesis presentation and 10 minutes for the Q&A.

 

  1. Students are required to print copies of the “Master's Thesis Proposal Review Form” according to the number of committee members, and hand it to the committee members before the Thesis Proposal.

 

  1. If the date of the Thesis Proposal changes, please inform the IB office.

 

  1. The Thesis Proposal review results are divided as follow:
    1. Approved: After at least two months from the date of approval, the student can take the Thesis Final Defense. The student must submit their application for the Final Defense one month before the expected date of the Final Defense.
    2. Approved after revision: After the revision, the advisor will sign the “Master Thesis Proposal Revision Form” to confirm the date of approval. After two months from the date of the approval, the student can take the Thesis Final Defense. The student must submit their application for the Final Defense one month before the expected date of the Final Defense.
    3. Not approved: The student is required to re-submit the Thesis Proposal.
